Our Ayurvedic Practitioners are members of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association. They have studied extensively with esteemed teachers in India and the USA. Both Richard and Gulnara are expert in guiding their patients according to Ayurvedic principles and protocols.

Richard founded the Ayurveda Health Retreat in 2001 and is a dedicated Yoga teacher and Ayurvedic educator. Since opening its doors, he has helped thousands of people seeking healthy living with knowledge from the Ayurveda. He began his Yoga and Ayurveda studies at age 17 and traveled to India at 21 with his spiritual teacher Swami Prabhupada. He studied Ayurveda with Dr. Vasant Lad at the Ayurvedic Institute in New Mexico and has traveled to India over 30 times. In 1994 he graduated Clayton College with a degree, Doctor of Naturopathy. 

Gulnara Taldibaeva-Pugliese, M.D., PhD, Doctor of Ayurvedic Medicine, Ay.D. 
 

Dr. Gulnara Taldibaeva-Pugliese is a medical doctor, holds a Ph.D. in Dermatology and an Ayurvedic Doctor. Dr. Gulnara is the true-life story of one who has dedicated her life to the wellbeing of humanity through the field of holistic health care. Seventeen years of medical education, Ph.D., and Ayurvedic education attest to her degree of commitment. In the last 10 years, Gulnara has intensely studied Ayurveda and is a graduate of California
College of Ayurveda. Her extensive medical training, years of yoga practice, commitment to a spiritual path, coupled with a natural intuition for Ayurvedic medicine enabled her to quickly grasp the principles of this ancient science.
