There is a universal wheel of reciprocation that has been made to turn; this is the wheel of giving and receiving. And by consciously participating in this cycle our life becomes filled with value and meaning.
How do you fit in this wheel of giving and receiving? If you feel out of balance in any aspects of your life, physically, emotionally, spiritually, in your relationships or personal wellbeing, your platform from which you are giving may be weak.
Are you or one of your loved ones in the red zone in any of these different categories? Many times people are in the red zone and are not fully conscious of it and it effects tremendously how we give and receive.
A very powerful exercise to determine if you’re in the red zone is to take the time to make a list of your personal needs and core nature. After putting these important details about your needs and what is stimulating for you on paper you now have a foundation to determine what is out of alignment.
If you find that you are having problems in your dealings with other or if you are dissatisfied with the quality of your life, you may discover one simple reason behind it is that you are disconnected from your own basic needs and nature. This wheel of giving and receiving starts from within you and how can you truly give if you are not clear on whom you are and what you want.
If you are clear about what is important for you and who you really are, then you can more successfully participate in this life increasing law of reciprocation.
Very often we tend to falsely think of giving and receiving in terms of material things, but the deeper essence of this cycle is in the genuine seeing and appreciation of the unique individuality of the people around us.
Invite your loved ones and the people close to you to make their own list and then exchange lists so that you can better understand each other and thus have a solid foundation to enter into this wheel of giving and receiving.
Just as a successful athlete has a schedule that plans in advance all aspects of his life, (training, eating, recuperation, family and personal time, etc.) we can also put in place a clear strategy for creating very rich dealings with the people around us.
At the end of the day we all want to be loved and appreciated for who we really are. Start with honoring who you are and then give the gift of honoring those around you.
Four important tips for creating higher quality exchanges:
1. Be clear about who you are what is important for you.
2. Be aware of other peoples needs and natures.
3. Use this important information to create a practical system that enriches your relationships.
4. Be open to reevaluate this list when you are experiencing dissatisfaction in your life.
