India Pilgrimage

The Journey Within

January 17th - 29th, 2027

A pilgrimage is a journey that we set out on to go deeper into our experience of life; to get to know ourselves and build a more intentional relationship with nature and the divine. As we get to know ourselves and learn to trust nature more deeply, we have the opportunity to heal those things from our past that have been obstructing our growth, open to what is here for us now, and grow into our true potential. Pilgrimage offers us the opportunity to be guided and transformed so that we can live into our life more deeply.

After your pilgrimage, you will move forward in life with greater peace, clarity, direction, connection, and ease.

A pilgrimage is a journey within.

It is a journey into discovering the hidden parts of ourselves and integrating the aspects of life that are yearning to be seen. A pilgrimage becomes a pathway toward healing and wholeness.

For thousands of years people have traveled to India in search of answers to life’s deepest mysteries. It is a place that awakens the senses in ways unlike anywhere else, inviting us to slow down, be intentional, and rediscover the sacredness of life.

We have been traveling to India since our early youth, and each time we return we experience a deepening of faith, perspective, and possibility. Since 2011 we have been bringing groups to experience India in a meaningful and transformative way, and we are grateful for the opportunity to share this journey with you.

While our journey explores the rich traditions of yoga through the lens of Bhakti, this pilgrimage is offered in a non-sectarian spirit. Our intention is not for anyone to adopt a particular belief system or take on new rituals as part of their life.

Rather, the stories, philosophies, and practices we encounter are shared as timeless wisdom traditions—pathways that help us explore the deeper dimensions of life and consciousness. Through them, we are invited to deepen our relationship with ourselves, with nature, and with the Divine.

Whether you come with a defined spiritual path or simply a sincere curiosity about life’s deeper meaning, you are welcome. All that is asked is an open heart and a willingness to explore truth.

Our hope is that through this journey you return home with greater clarity, healing, and connection—bringing what you discover here into a more authentic way of living in your own life.

What past pilgrims have said

  • "The India Pilgrimage hosted by Dhyana and Vira is an eye and soul opening experience. You are cared for mind, body and soul by these two wonderful souls as well as their close friends and swami for just over two weeks. There is nothing that compares to this trip. I have already done it twice.”

    Kelly Komatz, MD

  • "I embarked on the India pilgrimage with a heart heavy with unresolved pain. I yearned for a deeper connection to myself and a sense of peace. The journey exceeded all expectations. \The guidance of Vira and Dhyana created a safe space for profound introspection. Through sacred rituals, meditation, and heart-to-heart connections, I discovered a resilience and strength I never knew I possessed. Returning home, I felt a profound sense of healing and wholeness. This pilgrimage was a pivotal turning point in my life."

    Sarah C.

  • "My intention was to connect to God, or spirit, or the source energy of life, or however one might conceptualize it, and that is exactly what happened."

The Journey

We begin our pilgrimage in Mumbai, India’s vibrant cultural gateway.

After arriving and settling in for the evening, we travel to the beautiful Govardhan Eco Village, where we will spend 5 days immersing ourselves in Bhakti yoga, philosophy, meditation, spiritual teachings, and conscious community living. Set on 100+ acres of peaceful farmland, the village demonstrates principles of sustainability, self-sufficiency, and devotional living.

Govardhan Eco Village is a spiritual community rooted in the practice of Bhakti Yoga, the path of devotion described in the Bhagavad Gita. During our time here, we will experience what it feels like to live within a community dedicated to spiritual practice, service, and connection with the Divine.

We will explore the devotional traditions centered around the sacred forms of Radha and Krishna, Sita and Rama, and Sri Chaitanya, along with the lives and teachings of the great saints who carried these lineages forward. Through kirtan, meditation, and shared reflection, we will receive a living taste of the heart of Bhakti—the path of cultivating a loving relationship with the Divine.

While there, we will:

  • Practice daily breathwork, meditation, prayer and vedic philosophy classes

  • Experience transformative breathwork and somatic healing workshops

  • Hear wisdom teachings Dhyana, Vira and kirtan from respected spiritual teachers including Radhanath Swami, Raghunath Cappo, Gauravani.

  • Tour the eco-village and its mind blowing innovative sustainability projects

  • Go for swims and take time for yourself in the natural bio-pool

  • Enjoy nourishing feastly vegetarian meals grown and prepared on the land

  • Have the option to receive Ayurvedic treatments at their renowned wellness center

After our time at the eco-village we return to Mumbai to experience the vibrant Flower Festival at the Radha Gopinath Temple, a joyful devotional celebration filled with music, color, and sacred offerings.

We will also explore the historic Elephanta Caves, an ancient island temple complex in Mumbai Harbor.

From there we fly north to Rishikesh, a sacred town nestled along the banks of the Ganges River at the foothills of the Himalayas. Known as the “Yoga Capital of the World,” Rishikesh has long been a gathering place for seekers and sages.

While here, we will explore the rich spiritual traditions surrounding the devas of Shiva and Shakti—including Parvati, Durga, and Kali. Through their stories and teachings, we will reflect on how these universal energies and personalities operate within our own lives, guiding processes of transformation, healing, and awakening to our highest potential.

During our days there, we will:

  • Practice daily breathwork, meditation, prayer and vedic philosophy classes

  • Experience a ceremonial bath (if desired) in the Sacred Ganges river

  • Spend time in reflection, prayer and meditation on the river banks

  • Explore walking through the country side himalayan foothill trails

  • Watch the sunrise over the himalayan mountains

  • Visit local temples and markets

  • Participate in evening Ganga Aarti ceremonies

  • Integrate the teachings and experiences of the journey together

This final portion of the pilgrimage offers time for reflection, integration, and connection before returning home.

"I had always been drawn to India, but I never imagined the profound impact it would have on my life. This pilgrimage exceeded all expectations. Dhyana and Vira created an intimate and supportive environment where I felt safe to explore my deepest self. The combination of spiritual teachings, breathtaking landscapes, and authentic cultural experiences was truly life-changing. I returned home with a renewed sense of wonder and a deep love for life. The seeds planted on this pilgrimage continue to blossom, and I am eternally grateful for this transformative experience."
