Welcome to Living Ayurveda

Ayurveda is a five-thousand-year-old system of natural healing rooted in the ancient culture of India. More than a mere system of treating illness, Ayurveda is a science of life (ayur = life, veda = science or knowledge), that will guide you not only toward vibrant physical and mental health but also toward a deeper connection to your spiritual nature. It offers a body of wisdom designed to help you stay vital while realizing your full human potential. Providing guidelines on ideal daily and seasonal routines, diet, behavior, and the proper use of your senses, Ayurveda reminds you that health is the balanced and dynamic integration between body, mind, spirit, and environment.

Ayurveda is a science that helps you understand the nature of this world and how the elements the world is made of work together to create harmony or dissonance, health or dis-ease. It guides you toward understanding yourself, your own material makeup, so that you can interact with the world in right relationship. It supports you in navigating life consciously, in making choices that support your health and balance so that you can expand your perspective and seek the deeper, big-picture questions in life:—What is my purpose? Who am I? Why am I here?

  • "What I received from Living Ayurveda went far beyond my expectations of just learning more about Ayurveda. It changed me. It transformed the ways in which I care for my body - the ways I view my self. I feel more 'me' then I think I ever have in my life, and for that I am endlessly grateful."

    - Nicole Spencer

  • "Through this training, I’ve developed rhythm through my days, steadiness in my life and a deeper understanding of my Self. I’ve cultivated a deep connection to and a reminder of my true nature - and my ability to connect to Her with greater frequency and ease."

    -Usha Beala

  • "The wisdom Dhyana and Vira share about Ayurveda is so deep - and the way that they share it is so, so practical! It's a remembrance in how to live. My body speaks to me, and I'm finally listening. I have learned how to listen."
